Town in Tas with Toddler - Swansea or Bruny Island?

Hi all,

I am heading down to Hobart in June for 5 nights, been a few times and love it there. We are going to have 2 nights before Hobart to stay somewhere else, I'm thinking within 2 hours of Hobart. We will have a car.

We are a couple in 30s with a 2 year old. Just looking for somewhere beautiful with good food and a few things to do, and maybe a nice park area for our kid. Ideas like berry farms, or wineries with playgrounds sound great.

My research has me considering Swansea (could drive back via Ross), Bruny Island or possibly Maria Island. We will do a day drive around Huon Valley from Hobart and we have been to Richmond, Port Arthur etc in past trips.

Thoughts or suggestions from this who know the area well?

Stay safe
