Random Question for a 3wk Trip- Azores or Peru

Hi, I know this my might the most random question, we are a couple in our late 30s, love nature, wildlife, driving thru scenic roads, short/mild hiking, but no camping and have an unusual opportunity to take a 3wk vacation and wondering whether the Azores (+mainland Portugal) or Peru or otherwise Costa Rica should be our target in July.

What do you think?

Thanks,
Daniel

Talk about spoilt for choice - any of those would be great! Have not been to the Azores but loved Portugal, and also loved Peru. Have not visited Costa Rica as I have heard that it has become pretty touristified and jungle trekking is not really viable with impaired mobility. I guess if I had to rank I'd put Peru first, then Portugal/Azores. In Peru I made arrangements through Tour Guide Peru and Aaron and his team made everything easy, handling all the details. In Portugal I used a local guide who is currently on hiatus but have also visited on our own and did just fine with planning online.

Have not been to Costa Rica but the Azores are much nicer than Portugal and Portugal is pretty good.

Guides, you do know this is not going up the Amazon in canoes right?

The level of English spoken in the Azores is high as they get to go to US universities being mid-atlantic. The level of crime is very low and just nice people.

"love nature, wildlife, driving thru scenic roads, short/mild hiking” Peru would be my choice. It has all of that and more in bucketloads. July is a perfect time to visit and three weeks is enough time to explore som of South America’s most iconic sights - Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley the colonial city of Arequipa, Colca Canyon the Amazon Basin. Top and tail teh trip with a few nights in Lima. some info and photos of our travels in Peru on our blog @ https://accidentalnomads.com/category/peru/
