In addition to the usual souvenir kitsch, the region's largest traditional shopping district sells genuine Bedouin carpets and leather goods, some of which are handmade in small, family-owned workshops. You could easily spend a few hours browsing, perhaps stopping for a bite at one of the many good restaurants in the area.
