Hotel Century Southern Tower
2–2–1 Yoyogi, Tokyo, 151-8583, JapanWhy We Like It
While there’s nothing all that stylish or interesting about the hotel itself, its location and cheap prices will push you into exploring the city more thoroughly. The restaurants are decent, the bar has great views, and the convenience store in the lobby is, well, convenient.
Fodor's Expert Review
What the Hotel Century lacks in amenities, it makes up for it in location. Just steps from Shinjuku Station, this no-frills spot is great for anyone who has no desire to hang out in the hotel and instead explore the city.

Room
Simplistic rooms have incredible views of Shinjuku Station (train lovers rejoice!), and are decked out in basic brown carpeting and light-wood furnishings. The rooms are small – but not obnoxiously so – and come with free Wi-Fi, smart TVs, tea, water, and comfy PJs.
You Should Know There’s no room service, but the hotel considers this a feature, not a bug by touting the convenience store in the lobby.
Bathroom
Bathrooms are flush (pun intended) with Toto toilets, onyx countertops, and shower/tub combos. There are a number of free amenities like shower caps, head bands, razors, body scrubbers, and toothbrushes.
Lobby
Not a hub of activity, the 20th floor lobby does have stunning views of the city, hardwood floors, and a restaurant. There’s also that convenience shop in case you want to stock your fridge with cheap sake (you do).
Gym
There’s a small “fitness corner” (their words, not mine) on the 21st floor with a few Life Fitness machines and sweeping views of the city.
Dining
All of the dining options come with great views and there are Japanese and Chinese offerings here. The restaurant Tribeks serves western cuisine.
Drinking
Also serving up great views is the Bar Zone where guests can unwind with crafted cocktails and bites from the open kitchen concept.

Getting Around
Being virtually connected to the Shinjuku Station, access to the entire city via subway is a breeze. Walking in this area is also great as it’s pretty close to the craziness of Shinjuku, the wackiness of Harajuku, and busyness of Shibuya.
Restaurants
Want to fish for your dinner? At Zauo (10-minute walk) you literally go fishing for your fish and then the restaurant serves it up any way you like it. If you’re in the mood for yakitori, check out Yakitori Tori Ryori Toritatsu (6-minute walk) for sumptuous meats on sticks.
