The Monastery, its long bar illuminated by stained-glass panels and chandeliers, is staffed by cocktail-shaker-wielding "flair-tenders," and has a Euro-club feel. Despite the name, it's anything but a quiet retreat, with various styles of dance music ripping through the airwaves, and a usually full dance floor. It's open Thursday–Saturday 9 pm–5 am, A$15 before 11pm. A "clubwear" dress code applies: no flip-flops, singlets (tank-tops), or shorts.
