Fodor's Expert Review Peppers Seaport Hotel

Superbly situated on the Tamar riverfront, this popular urban-chic hotel is part of the Seaport Dock area and is shaped like a ship. Its steep, pitched gable roofs are reminiscent of old docks warehouses; the interior also reflects its nautical heritage, using Tasmanian materials, plus lots of open space and light-color wood. The Mud Bar and Restaurant serves an eclectic menu and a good selection of Tasmanian beer, wine, and cocktails.
