Across from the Sea Crest Marina, centrally located in Alice Town, this casual cafeteria-style joint starts serving rib-sticking American and Bahamian breakfasts at 7 am (try the conch or lobster omelet), seven days a week. Bob's is now serving lunches and dinners, closing at 4 pm on Monday and Tuesday and at 11 pm other days. Run by Detrick Frances and family, it's an ideal place for anglers to start their day before heading out. Enjoy lunches of burgers, conch, soups, salads, and fresh fish, as well as sushi. After a long day on the sea, step in for a hearty dinner (summer only) of stuffed lobster or the popular seafood platter. If you call ahead, fishing lunches to take out on your boat can be prepared. It's a lively, clattery atmosphere, great for people-watching on King's Highway, the main drag.
