Car

You can certainly enjoy the delights of Split and the nearby islands of Brač, Hvar, and Vis without a car. However, you may wish to rent a vehicle for more flexibility in driving up the coast to Šibenik and Krka National Park, or down the coast to Omiš and Makarska, although these destinations are also well served by buses. Renting a car once you arrive on the islands is also an affordable option to see the entire island at your own pace.

While on the islands, you can also rent a bright-colored convertible VW Beetle, scooter, van, or beach buggy for the day and explore in style and at your own pace. Rapidus has a fleet of quirky cars that can be picked up and dropped off in Hvar Town, Stari Grad, Jelsa, and Vrboska on Hvar.
