Fodor's Expert Review Brasserie Valaoritou
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This cosmopolitan-yet-homey brasserie draws a varied crowd, from high-flying businessmen to politicians to theater buffs, who come here to enjoy to enjoy a delicious cappuccino or, at lunchtime, a generous and delicious salad, or a late dinner after an evening at the theater. The menu includes a range of pasta dishes as well as traditional Greek fare like juicy lemon-oregano chicken breast and succulent lamb chops. But save room for the fabulous desserts, especially the lemon pie and the amazing galaktoboureko (custard in phyllo) made with Camembert instead of the traditional custard.
