Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin Airport
Dublin Airport, Dublin, Co. Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, Dublin, IrelandWhy We Like It
A reliable, quiet hotel, with reasonable dining options and competent staff, that's right by the airport and therefore more than delivers on its key USP. It's a shame there's no gym on-site, but access to the huge ALSAA complex is a good compensation prize.
Fodor's Expert Review
You could almost sleepwalk to your plane from the Radisson Blu; the hotel even has flight monitors in the lobby, and it's ten minutes on foot to the terminal or two by the free shuttle bus. The modern five-story hotel does look a little severe on the outside, but the service is exceptional and the hotel offers all the ease and professionalism you'd expect from a Radisson. Plus, the restaurants are not bad, luckily enough, because the airport area isn't teeming with alternatives.

Room
Double glazing ensures the roar of a 747 won't interrupt any beauty sleep, although you do have a good view if plane-spotting is your thing. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, if a little unexciting, and interconnecting family rooms are available.
Tip Rooms from the third floor up have views over the water.
Bathroom
Bathrooms will all soon feature walk-in showers and not baths, with large mirrors and the 'This Works' toiletries that brand devotees will recognize.
You Should Know Bathrooms at the moment can feel a little tired, but the hotel is in the process of renovating.
Lobby
The lobby has a buzzy international feel, with clocks showing the time in various global cities and citrus-flavored water available.
Pool
There's no on-site pool or gym, but guests have free access to the huge ALSAA leisure complex about ten minutes' walk away, boasting everything from squash to running tracks, bowling to a pool.
Dining
The T3 bar and restaurant does standard fare at a decent price in a surprisingly chic setting. Breakfast in the Collage restaurant is good, also in a pleasingly leafy room, and those with early flights can get the basic 'Grab & Go' version from 3:30 am. Collage also does a good a la carte menu.
Drinking
The T3 bar is a cut above the average airport bar, and guests can also get coffee and other drinks in the cutely named Departures Lounge.

Getting Around
The hotel is about being close to the airport - it is - but Dublin itself is around 40 minutes away, either by car (although the traffic, particularly in the mornings, can be bad) or the reliable airport bus links.
