Fodor's Expert Review The Dean
33 Harcourt St., Dublin, Co. Dublin, 2, Ireland
This urbane and boldly designed hotel a few minutes from Grafton Street is truly boutique with a unique mix of Georgian and modern architecture and an unusual selection of room sizes and shapes. "Pod" (small and neat with a bed that doubles as a sofa) and "Punk Bunk" (compact with bunk beds for sharing) options are available for more value. A mix of Georgian and modern architecture gives a unique feel, while the rooftop bar is a great spot to watch Dublin at work and play. Irish art and design is at the center of the slightly lush feel to the rooms.
PROS
- stunning views from rooftop bar
- new gym
- great restaurant and bar
CONS
- very compact lobby
- rooms aren't huge
- noisy nightlife on the same street
