Fodor's Expert Review Enoteca delle Langhe
Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.
Situated in the self-styled Italian Quarter, this Italian eatery serves up the full enoteca experience: quality, affordable Italian wines (more than 75% are sourced from the Langhe district); a limited but enticing selection of appetizers; and friendly, family-style service. In summer, tango dancers perform outside in the square that has become a charming little (very little) Italian quarter just off Ormond Quay. It consists of a communal plaza area, a fabulous mural that's a modern take on Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper, and a couple of places to eat, including this enoteca. Try the perfect bruschetta with scrumptious toppings like sun-dried-tomato pesto and pork sausage with a red chili kick.
