Hofkellerei des Fürsten von Liechtenstein

For the finest local wines bottled by the royal family themselves, head to the Hofkellerei just outside of Vaduz and try a Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. Other varietals, including Riesling and Merlot, are offered here, too, but they come from a winery in Austria, which also belongs to the royal family. If you'd like your wine to accompany a fine meal, the property also has a restaurant, Torkel, in a medieval building with a beautiful terrace overlooking the Herawingert vineyards.

Philatelie Liechtenstein

Schaedler Keramik

Though shops on the main street of Vaduz carry samples of the local dark-glaze pottery painted with folksy flowers and figures, the central source is 8 km (5 miles) north of Vaduz at Schaedler Keramik. Simple household pottery as well as traditional and often ornate hand-painted pieces are available for sale. Pottery making is demonstrated here, but it's open only on weekdays.
