Tipping

Tipping in restaurants is not required in Russia, although it is becoming more common. Many restaurants or bars add a 10% service charge, so check your bill before you leave a tip. Service personnel at luxury hotels, such as bellboys, room service waiters and room cleaners expect a tip; 100R should suffice. A small present or a tip may sometimes be expected by a tour guide at the end of the trip.
