Fodor's Expert Review Saorsa 1875 Vegan Hotel
2 East Moulin Rd., Pitlochry, Perth and Kinross, PH16 5DW, Scotland
As the name suggests, there are no animal products used anywhere in this hotel, located in a large Victorian house overlooking the town with views across the Tummel Valley; that means no leather or even feathers in the pillows. Each of the comfortable rooms (all with tall windows) is named after a Scottish bird or animal. Of course, the food at the on-site restaurant is also vegan, with some adventurous options on the five-course dinner menu that changes daily. The hotel offers activities too, from yoga classes in the ample garden to swimming in Loch Faskally.
