Park Fees and Permits

From mid-April through November the fee to enter the park is $30 per car ($25 for motorcycles); the rest of the year the fee is $10 for cars and motorcycles. The fee covers seven consecutive days. Those entering by bus, bicycle, horse, or on foot pay $15. An annual park pass costs $55. For backcountry camping, pick up a free permit at the Loomis Museum or Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center, or request an application online at www.nps.gov/lavo.

Park Hours

The park is open 24/7 year-round. It is in the Pacific time zone.

Cell Phone Reception

Cell phones don't work in most parts of the park, although you can usually pick up a signal near the Bumpass Hell parking area and the north shore of Manzanita Lake.
