Room
Rooms are simple and comfortable, with a signature Hyatt bed, 37-inch flat-screen television with on-command entertainment, refrigerator, coffee station, alarm clock radio, and an ergonomic work station. The views are of either the sparkling Charles River, or the bustling city of Cambridge.
Tip If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the elevator.
Bathroom
Bathrooms at the Hyatt are probably due for a renovation. They're perfectly suitable, but older showers and bath fixtures could use an update. They all come equipped with toiletries and ionic hair dryers. Bathrooms in the suites are more spacious and spa-inspired.
Lobby
Stepping inside the Hyatt Regency Cambridge instantly warrants a look up at the 16 floors, which are towering one on top of another. The carpets and furniture are a bit dated, but there's plenty of space to have a cup of coffee or read the paper.
Pool
The Hyatt has a glass-enclosed, 75-foot saline indoor heated swimming pool with a retractable roof and sundeck overlooking the Charles River.
Spa
There is no gym on-site, but massage services are available upon request.

The Hyatt's 24-hour fitness center, Stay Fit, is filled with cardio machines, strength training equipment and free weights, and looks out on the city from one side, and the swimming pool from the other. It also has a dry sauna and a steam room.
You Should Know The Hyatt is surrounded by plenty of walking, jogging, and bicycle paths that surround the Charles River.
Dining
The Hyatt has several different options for dining: Zephyr on the Charles, the full-service restaurant which serves regional cuisine, and the Zephyr Patio, for al fresco dining. There is also the Market on the Charles, where guests can pop in for Starbucks coffee or grab-and-go items.
Tip Zephyr has a daily breakfast buffet with an omelet station and kids' menu.
Drinking
The Zephyr Lounge is the hotel's bar for signature cocktails. The spot is filled with comfortable couches and chairs, and lovely floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. But when the weather warms up, head outside to the Zephyr Patio, a shaded terrace with a beautiful view.

Getting Around
Guests at the Hyatt can certainly travel on foot, particularly if they are in the area to visit MIT, which is just a 5-minute walk away. It's about a 20-minute walk to get to the nearest MBTA station, which is Kendall Square on the Red Line. However, the Hyatt does provide a complimentary shuttle to the Kendall stop. Central Square, which also has its own Red Line stop, is about a 20-minute walk away as well.
Restaurants
Flour Bakery & Cafe (8-minute walk) is a popular spot for sandwiches, salads, and sweets. While the Hyatt is not exactly centrally located in one of the big Cambridge squares, it's not a long walk to either, which have a plethora of restaurant options. In Kendall Square, head to Area Four (21-minute walk) for gourmet pizzas, or The Friendly Toast (26-minute walk) for comfort food.
