Why We Like It

A top choice among Santa Fe's mid-priced chain properties, the Hyatt Place has plenty of amenities to please both families and business travelers. The large lobby and well-conceived grab-and-go dining options are handy for visitors who would rather spend their days exploring the region than searching for restaurants, and the staff here works hard to keep guests happy.

Fodor's Expert Review

This modern, well-equipped Hyatt Place out on busy Cerrillos Road won't win any awards for distinctive charm, but a slew of handy amenities—complimentary shuttle within 5 miles, indoor pool, well-lighted in-room work spaces—make it a favorite of business and leisure travelers seeking convenience and efficiency over quirkiness.

You Should Know The Cerrillos Road location lacks curb appeal and is 20-minute drive to the historic downtown Plaza, although the hotel is fairly close to the airport and a number of South Side restaurants and businesses.

Restaurants

Don't let its humble location beside a gas station and no-frills vibe fool you: Horseman's Haven Cafe (2-minute walk) is a legend in these parts of green-chile cheeseburgers, posole stew, and other classic New Mexican fare. Set in a shopping center a couple of miles northeast on Cerrillos Road, Dr. Field Goods Kitchen (5-minute drive) turns out delicious farm-to-table food that mixes New Mexican and global influences—fans swear by the "bad ass BLT" and the pho with duck confit and rice vermicelli noodles.
