Graceful service, supremely comfy accommodations, and superb dining are the hallmarks of this intimate, luxury boutique hotel that also enjoys an unbeatable location within a stone's throw of the historic Plaza and Palace of the Governors. For a relatively small property, the Inn of the Anasazi also has a nice range of exceptionally comfortable lounges to relax in and an incredible collection of Spanish Colonial, Native American, and anglo artworks that speak instantly to Santa Fe's distinctive tri-cultural heritage.

Unassuming from the outside, this first-rate boutique hotel steps from the Plaza is one of Santa Fe's finest, with superb architectural detail and world-class artwork gracing both guest rooms and common areas. The prestigious Rosewood Hotel manages the property and has steadily and carefully upgraded the already sumptuous linens and furnishings over the years.
You Should Know The inn's location nearly adjacent to the bustling Plaza is fantastic if you wish to be near museums and restaurants but could be a turnoff if you've come to New Mexico seeking a more secluded setting.

Room
Each room has a beamed viga-and-latilla ceiling, kiva-style gas fireplace, antique Navajo rugs, handwoven fabrics, and organic toiletries (including sunblock). Other amenities include full concierge services, twice-daily maid service, exercise equipment upon request, and a library. Especially nice touches in this desert town are the humidifiers in each guest room. A few deluxe rooms have balconies.
Lobby
Check-in takes place in a cozy lobby, but just beyond this area on the same floor, guests can relax in two wonderfully atmospheric common spaces, the intimate Living Room and the sun-filled Library, which opens to a small patio. Both rooms have ample seating, wood-burning fireplaces, and carefully curated artwork.
Spa
There's no spa, but the hotel does offer in-room massage and aromatherapy. And in accommodations as cushy as these, it's easy to relax during one of these sessions with a well-trained body worker. These can be arranged with the concierge.
Gym
The fitness center, though small, features top-of-the-line equipment from TechnoGym and Arke Core Centric Training, plus a good selection of free weights.
Dining
The Inn of the Anasazi has long ranked among the top upscale dining experiences in Santa Fe, offering exceptional service and deftly executed contemporary cuisine. The menu changes seasonally to take advantage of local produce—examples might include roasted globe artichokes with pistachio pesto and Meyer lemon aioli, and Colorado lamb chops with heirloom carrots, young beets, and tzatziki. With stone walls patterned after ancient Pueblo ruins and soft, indirect lighting, the dining room offers a relaxing and romantic vibe for enjoying a special meal.
Tip The prix-fixe lunches are one of the best deals in town among upscale Santa Fe restaurants.
Drinking
With its plus sofas and lounge seating, the candlelit Anasazi Bar & Lounge is an inviting spot to sample premium tequilas from the hotel's impressive collection, while nibbling on pork-belly steam buns, achiote-glazed chicken nachos, and other tasty treats. We also love the well-curated selection of wines by the glass.

The hotel is just a block from Santa Fe’s historic Plaza and within steps of numerous attractions, shops, and restaurants. A car or Uber is handy for exploring farther afield, to Museum Hill or the Santa Fe Opera, for example.

At stylish La Boca (5-minute walk), James Beard–nominated chef James Campbell Caruso serves exceptional Spanish fare, from classic tapas to larger plates. The patio in back is a lively and fun spot for late-night noshing.
Bars
It's an easy stroll by the Plaza to reach the iconic Bell Tower Bar (5-minute walk), on the rooftop of the historic La Fonda Hotel—try to time your arrival with sunset. The Draft Station (5-minute walk) carries an extensive selection of craft beers and offers seating overlooking the Plaza.
