Luxx Hotel
105 E. Marcy St., Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501, USAWhy We Like It
How you like this quirky little boutique hotel may depend on how important experiencing a traditional Santa Fe–style accommodation is to you. Rooms here are done in a contemporary design that's not at all Southwestern, but they're decent-size and well-priced and the location, a block from the Plaza, is fantastic. There's also a hot tub, and the entire property is very eco-friendly.
Fodor's Expert Review
This slightly offbeat but urbane little boutique inn has a modern vibe and few trappings of Santa Fe art and style, which can be a welcome relief to travelers looking for something a little different from the norm in this part of the world. The 16 rooms and smartly appointed and have a number of nice tech-friendly and eco-conscious features. There's a pleasant back patio sitting area with a hot tub and a barbecue grill for guest use, and the on-site restaurant, Izmi, serves consistently good sushi.

Room
Most of the rooms at Luxx Hotel are standard-size and have earthy, contemporary color schemes and a cosmopolitan design--it's a look atypical of Santa Fe. Amenities are many, including flat-screen HDTVs with Blu-Ray, well-designed work spaces, microwaves, and small refrigerators. The spacious two-room suites have king and queen beds and are perfect for two couples or a family.
You Should Know Rooms here generally lack natural light, often lacking windows or having one small standard-size window that looks out into a dark alley or at another building. It's great for light sleepers, but others may find these accommodations a little too dark.
Bathroom
In these well-outfitted bathrooms, rainfall shower heads, organic bath amenities, plush towels, and spacious tile counters are among the much-appreciated features. Like many of the rooms, bathrooms typically lack natural light.

The Luxx has a compact lobby located off an inner corridor without windows, although skylights let in some natural light, and there's ample seating, coffee and tea service, and a small business center.
Pool
Although there's no pool, the hotel does have a hot tub on a deck in the back.
Dining
There are no meals included in the rates, although a few light breakfast snacks are put out in the lobby in the morning, along with coffee and tea. However, in the same building and just off the lobby, you can dine on very good Japanese fare at Izmi Sushi, and breakfast sandwiches, eggs, and other morning fare at Boultawn's Bakery.
Drinking
There's no bar, but in the same building, Izmi Sushi serves beer and wine.
