An elegant yet comfortable dining room inside the oasis of La Posada resort, Fuego has become a local favorite for reliably good Latin-inspired American and New Mexican food and flawless service. Once known for sky-high prices and more elaborate fare, Fuego has become both more accessible and wallet-friendly, turning out a good mix of well-prepared lighter bites (lamb burgers, prosciutto and lobster salad, Korean tacos) and heartier entrées, including a commendable steak frites with green-chile aioli and pan-blackened salmon. The wine list is impressive and the helpful sommelier is always on hand to advise. The expansive, shady patio is a lovely spot for breakfast or lunch; there's live entertainment in the evenings.
