Air Travel

Albuquerque International Sunport, about 130 miles away and a 2½-hour drive, is the nearest major airport to Taos. The small Santa Fe Municipal Airport, a 90-minute drive, also has daily service from Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Alternatively, as Taos is one of the gateway towns to New Mexico if coming from Colorado, some visitors fly into Denver (five hours north) or Colorado Springs (four hours). Taos Municipal Airport, 12 miles west of town, serves only charters and private planes.
