This vegan eatery, in an elegant bi-level space done in warm, autumnal tones, is far from a health-food stereotype. Entrées like spaghetti and wheat balls and the wild mushroom crepe with tempeh are well executed; the signature seitan piccata is so expertly made that you won't miss the meat. Salads, soups, desserts, and entrées are all fresh and made with local, organic, seasonal produce. There's also an impressive list of organic wines and sakes.
