Fodor's Expert Review Lodge Nevados de Sollipulli

This extraordinary lodge at the base of Sollipulli Volcano, whose crater is filled with a massive glacier, is located 130 km (81 miles) from Temuco inside Reserva Nacional Villarrica. Surrounded by dense, virgin native forest, the lodge contains rooms that are actually geodesic dome tents, each with a private bathroom, electricity, hot water, and central heating. There is also a sauna, hot tub, bar and restaurant on-site, and excursions can be organized to the volcano.
